Today as I start to right about my experience of the DigitalDeepak.com Internship program, I found myself singing Billy Ocean’s “When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going.” The reality is that Deepak Kanakaraju is an inspiration to many of us in the learning process of Digital Marketing journey, with his courses you can always focus on what needs to be done and more important how it can be done in an easy way. Below I have highlighted seven essential ingredients based on my learning on how to start your Digital Marketing knowledge Journey
Focus on Basic Communication Skill
Marketing is all about communication and so is Digital Marketing. How much ever we talk about automation these days but we can’t eradicate the human touch and that is not possible if our communication is weak. Being able to communicate ideas, build relationships or trust with clients or colleagues, communicate to customers in a way that will make sense, and having an ability for knowing what others will find entertaining and worthwhile can all only be possible with proper communication

The relationship that people share with their devices is closer than ever. That intimacy is a tool marketer would be wise to be receptive to and make use of. Communication is always one of the first fields to benefit from new technology, which means that change is a must for marketers looking to reach out to the right audience.
Artificial Intelligence, Data Driven Marketing, Voice search engine optimization (VSEO) are the current innovative digital marketing trends and also amongst the top priorities for most of the business owner’s in 2020 while many of the technologies which are ambitious concepts are a long way from being adopted by a mainstream audience, a digital future seems inevitable.
Integrated Digital Marketing
Integrated digital marketing is nothing but the integration of multiple marketing strategies to form an interconnected online approach for your business.
To success on the digital arena, understanding what digital channels and what types of digital content perform is the important step in “planning”. Identify the Niche
As we all are aware one common path to success for many entrepreneurs, freelancers and even for that matter students are to find a niche product or service, niche market to establish a dominant position as a top player in that niche. These 3 basic questions if answered appropriately can act as a key to niche market success
- Do I follow Passion?
- Do I have the Talent to enter a niche?
- How to find a niche market?
Once the preliminary idea for a niche is identified, the next step is to research within if any problem arises or on sites like Google, Quora, Redditt, Facebook etc to see what problems are the users experiencing. Your niche can be targeted on resolving the pain points of yourself or the users.
Competitor & Keyword Research
No matter what niche we select the next important step is to investigate the competitors. Is there even a market for your niche? Is anyone searching for keywords into google that your target audience would? Is there any chance for you to stand out in the online mass?
After doing basic Google keyword search, the next step is to explore other Keyword Tools for detailed Keyword Research like Adwords Keyword Tool, UberSuggest, Answer the Public, Ahrefs, Moz, SEMrush, Search Console, KeywordTool.io, etc. If you find keywords with substantial search volume, that’s a good indicator of a potential profitable niche. Google Trend is also a useful tool to dig into trending topics. Some can even explore Amazon if the niche falls in ecommerce segment.
Test your Idea
Finally, you can test your idea initially with your own network of friends or acquaintances and see if they would be interested in your niche product or service and post which you can kick start your journey to discover the gold which lies underneath!
